Teen Stabbed in Islington Horror – Police Hunt Suspect
A teenager has been rushed to hospital with serious stab wounds following a shocking attack in Islington. Officers from the Met Police were called to Popham Road just before 9pm on Wednesday, where they found the boy seriously injured.
Crime Scene Locked Down, No Arrests Yet
A crime scene is in place, but police have yet to make any arrests. A specialist police dog was deployed to sniff out those involved, as officers scour the area for leads.
A Met Police spokesman said: “Officers are responding to an incident in Popham Road, Islington, N1. Police were called at 8:54pm on 4 September following reports of a teenage boy with multiple stab wounds. The boy was treated by paramedics and taken to hospital. Another male at the scene was also found injured.”
Both Victims Stable as Police Launch Search
Thankfully, neither victim is believed to be in life-threatening condition. Police have put a large cordon in place between Popham Road and Pickering Road and are conducting area searches for the suspect.
A Section 60 order – allowing stop and search powers – is active across N1, N5, N7, and EC1 postcode areas until 5am on 5 September 2019.
