Police are searching for a burglary suspect following a midnight raid in Oxford. On Wednesday, July 8, at around 12:30 am, a thief entered a property on Bartlemas Road and stole a Rolex watch and an iPhone from a victim who was asleep at the time.
The intruder is described as a skinny, mixed-race man, approximately 5ft 11ins tall, and believed to be in his late 20s to early 30s. He gained entry through the front door wearing a hooded top and black metal-rimmed glasses. The man proceeded to the victim’s bedroom and took valuables before fleeing the scene towards Morrell Avenue after being disturbed by another person in the house.
PC Donal McGuckin, who is investigating the case at Oxford police station, said: “This was a distressing incident for the victim as someone was in their room, taking their items whilst they were asleep.” He added, “If you recognise this man or have any information, please get in touch.”
