At around 8.30pm on Saturday, August 6, 2022, police responded to reports of a disturbance on Market Street in Margate. Upon arrival, officers found a man in his 30s lying on the ground with a head injury.

The injured man was taken to hospital for treatment and has since been discharged.

Police have conducted interviews at the scene but believe that many others who were present that night may have useful information. The investigation remains ongoing as officers work to piece together the events leading to the incident.

Authorities are urging anyone who witnessed the altercation or who has footage from mobile phones, CCTV, or dashcams to come forward. Witnesses can contact Kent Police on 01843 222289, quoting reference 46/152927/22.
