A man in his 50s was rushed to a major trauma centre after a brutal stabbing at Brent Cross shopping centre in North London early on 14 April.
An air ambulance was deployed swiftly following reports of a violent fight. Paramedics, including an advanced paramedic and incident response officer, treated the victim at the scene before flying him to hospital with a serious stab wound.
A London Ambulance Service spokesperson said: “We were called at 9.33am today (14 April) to reports of a stabbing in Brent Cross Shopping Centre, NW4. We treated a patient at the scene and took him to a major trauma centre as a priority.”
The Metropolitan Police confirmed the attacker fled immediately after the assault. While police say this appears to be an isolated incident, they have launched a manhunt to catch the suspect.
The victim is currently receiving treatment in hospital. Police are investigating reports of an altercation prior to the stabbing. Emergency teams included advanced paramedics and ambulance crews.
