A man remains in a life-threatening condition after being found collapsed early on the morning of 8 December on Walworth Road, Southwark.
Police and paramedics were called to the scene at around 4:30 a.m. Officers from the Metropolitan Police and the London Ambulance Service arrived promptly and found the man unconscious. He was immediately taken to hospital, where he is still fighting for his life.
Two men were arrested at the scene on suspicion of grievous bodily harm (GBH). Both suspects remain in police custody while detectives continue their investigation.
A Metropolitan Police spokesperson said, “Police were called at around 4.30am on Sunday, 8 December, to Walworth Road, SE17 following reports of a man collapsed. Officers and London Ambulance Service attended. The victim was taken to hospital where he remains in a life-threatening condition.”
“Two men were arrested at the scene on suspicion of GBH and remain in custody. Enquiries continue by detectives from Central South Command to establish the full circumstances.”
