Police were called to a flat on Hicken Road, SW2, in Lambeth in the early hours of Saturday, 11 February, following reports of a critically injured man.

The victim, a man in his 50s, was rushed to hospital with stab wounds but sadly died shortly afterwards.

Officers have launched an urgent murder investigation led by Specialist Crime detectives, with support from the Metropolitan Police’s Central South Basic Command Unit (BCU).

A man, also in his 50s, has been arrested on suspicion of murder and remains in custody at a south London police station.

The block of flats on Hicken Road has been sealed off as a crime scene while forensic teams conduct a thorough search for evidence.

Residents in the area should expect a heightened police presence in the coming days as the investigation continues.

Police are urging anyone with information or concerns to approach officers in the area.
