Police were called to a violent stabbing incident on St Johns Road, Shanklin, Isle of Wight, just after 10pm on Monday, April 25. Upon arrival, officers found two men seriously injured at the scene.
A man in his 50s was sadly pronounced dead following the incident.
Two women, aged 29 and 52, both from the Isle of Wight, were arrested on suspicion of murder. However, both women have since been released without charge.
Additionally, a 36-year-old man who was also arrested remains in hospital with injuries sustained during the incident.
Superintendent Jim Pegler said: “The investigation into this remains ongoing. You will see a continued police presence around St Johns Road as enquiries continue.”
He added, “We believe this was an isolated incident with no wider risk to the public. We thank the community for their patience and ask people not to speculate about those involved.”
