Emergency services responded to Tunbridge Wells this afternoon following a tragic incident where a man jumped from the top floor of a multi-storey car park.
Just after 3pm on Wednesday 29 January 2020, Kent Police and the Kent Air Ambulance rushed to Crescent Road Car Park after reports that a man had fallen from the roof, triggering a major emergency response.
A large police cordon now restricts access around Calverley Grounds and Crescent Road. While drivers are permitted to collect their vehicles, no new cars are allowed to enter the car park.
Forensics officers remain on site as a crime scene investigation is underway. A green privacy screen has been put up to shield the area from public view. Police have kept members of the public away while the investigation continues.
A Kent Police spokesman confirmed, “We were called at 2.55pm on Wednesday 29 January 2020 to a report that a man had fallen from Crescent Road Car Park in Tunbridge Wells. Officers are currently at the scene along with the South East Coast Ambulance Service. The multi-storey car park is closed off and police have been seen all over Monson Road.”
