Police are looking to speak with a man who was seen jogging along Percy Avenue on Friday, 11 June 2021, following a fatal crash. Authorities have released a description of the jogger, who has dark brown-grey hair, was not wearing a top, and wore long blue shorts. It is believed that this man raised the alarm, leading neighbours to call emergency services at 3.09pm.
The tragic incident involved a single-vehicle collision with a blue Hyundai i30. The victim, a woman in her 80s, sadly died at the scene. Emergency responders from the police, South East Coast Ambulance Service, and Kent Fire and Rescue attended the crash site.
Police are appealing for anyone who witnessed the crash or has dashcam or mobile phone footage to come forward. Those with information are urged to contact the Serious Collision Investigation Unit (SCIU) appeal line on 01622 798538 or email [email protected], quoting reference SM/KA/051/21.
