Kent Police have launched an urgent appeal for witnesses and dashcam footage after a fatal crash involving a silver Yamaha MT10 motorbike and a beige Vauxhall Zafira on Main Road, Longfield, early Thursday morning.
The collision occurred just after 5am near the junction with Station Road. Paramedics from South East Coast Ambulance Service attended the scene and pronounced the motorcyclist, a man in his 60s, dead at the scene. His next of kin have been informed.
The driver of the Vauxhall Zafira sustained minor injuries and received treatment on-site.
The Serious Collision Investigation Unit (SCIU) of Kent Police is conducting a detailed inquiry and is appealing for anyone with dashcam, CCTV, or eyewitness information to come forward. Officers are particularly interested in hearing from people in the Hartley Road area who may have seen the vehicles before the crash.
A Kent Police spokesperson said, “We are particularly keen to speak to anyone in the Hartley Road area who may have seen the vehicles prior to the collision or who may have relevant CCTV footage.”

Main Road was closed in both directions for several hours while investigators examined the scene. Police are encouraging all local residents and motorists to review their cameras and recall any activity around the time of the crash to assist with the investigation.
