Road Shut as Police Probe Assault Following Collision
Chaos erupted on New Barn Road, near Northfleet, after a crash at 8.52am on Saturday, 7 February 2026. Kent Police quickly closed the road to investigate a shocking assault linked to the collision.
The victim, a man in his 20s, was assaulted after the crash and rushed to hospital. Fortunately, his injuries are not life-threatening.
Suspect Arrested, Now Released on Bail
A 47-year-old man was arrested at the scene on suspicion of attempted grievous bodily harm. He has since been released on conditional bail while the police continue their enquiries.
