Kent Fire and Rescue Service responded promptly to a chip pan fire on Albion Road, Broadstairs, today, Friday, June 7, 2024. The emergency call was received at 12:22 PM, reporting flames at a local business.
Two fire engines arrived quickly at the scene. Firefighters, equipped with breathing apparatus and high-pressure hose reels, tackled the blaze effectively. The fire was brought under control in a short time.
After extinguishing the fire, the team used a positive-pressure ventilation fan to remove the smoke from the premises, ensuring the area was safe.
Despite the rapid response, one individual suffered from smoke inhalation symptoms. Paramedics from the South East Coast Ambulance Service (SECAmb) provided urgent medical care at the scene.
The coordinated efforts of the emergency services prevented major damage or serious injury during the incident.
