Shock hit Hove this afternoon as emergency crews rushed to Western Esplanade after a man’s body was found on the beach around 4pm on September 3, 2024. Worried members of the public called 999 after the grim discovery.
Sussex Police, South East Coast Ambulance Service, and the Coastguard arrived swiftly to tackle the situation. The beach was shut to the public as officers launched a full investigation into the tragedy.
“Enquiries are ongoing to identify the man and establish the full circumstances of the incident,” Sussex Police confirmed. Authorities are urging anyone with information to come forward as they piece together what happened on Hove’s shoreline.
