Blaze Rips Through Two Homes in Southgate
A roaring fire tore through two houses on Ensign Drive, Southgate today, gutting the first floor and roof of a detached home before leaping to a neighbouring property. An outbuilding also caught fire, leaving extensive damage in its wake.
Thankfully, the only occupant—a woman—escaped unharmed before firefighters arrived.
Massive Firefight: Six Engines, 40 Firefighters
The London Fire Brigade sprang into action after the first emergency call at 1:49pm. Crews from Tottenham, Hornsey, Chingford, Finchley, and Barnet rushed to the scene with six fire engines and around 40 firefighters. After a tense battle, the blaze was finally brought under control at 3:38pm.
Cause Unknown, Investigation Ongoing
Fire officials are still probing the cause of the devastating blaze. Authorities urge anyone with information to come forward as investigations continue.
