Teenager left fighting for life after stabbing in Bermondsey
A 14-year-old boy is in hospital with potentially life-changing injuries following a stabbing in Bermondsey on Saturday evening.
Knife attack shocks Alscot Road
Police were called to Alscot Road, SE1, near Bermondsey Spa Gardens at 6.48pm after reports of a group of boys armed with weapons. Officers found the teen with a stab wound to his stomach. Paramedics treated him at the scene before rushing him to hospital, where he remains in a serious condition.
Met Police hunt suspects
The Metropolitan Police have made no arrests yet. They have launched a full investigation and are appealing for witnesses to come forward. A spokesperson said:
“Police were called at 6.48pm on Saturday, August 30 to Alscot Road, SE1 following reports of a group of boys carrying weapons. Officers attended with the London Ambulance Service and a 14-year-old boy was located with a stab wound to his stomach. He was taken to hospital where he remains with potentially life-changing injuries. Enquiries remain ongoing and no arrests have been made at this stage.”
