Police have launched a murder investigation following a brutal stabbing in the Brookfield area of Ashford. The victim, a young man, was seriously injured in the attack and sadly died despite emergency efforts to save him at the scene.
Witnesses reported that the young man was stabbed in the back on Brookfield Road during broad daylight. Resuscitation attempts were made as armed officers quickly arrived and swarmed the area.
A large section near Arlington has been sealed off as police continue their search for the killer. Kent Police have increased their response by deploying armed officers to track down the suspect. The manhunt remains ongoing with officers combing the vicinity around Brookfield.
Kent Police will soon issue a formal appeal for witnesses. Anyone with information or who witnessed the stabbing is urged to contact the appeal line on 01843 222289, quoting reference 14-65.
