Three Friends in Early 20s Killed in Brutal Halifax Crash
Three pals have tragically died after their car was smashed by a speeding BMW in Halifax. Thomas Reilly, Cass Bryant, and Corey Graham lost their lives in the horror smash on Keighley Road.
Four Arrested in Deadly Multi-Car Pile-Up
West Yorkshire Police wasted no time, arresting four suspects at the scene. A 37-year-old man and two women, aged 18 and 32, were held immediately. A 26-year-old Bradford man was later detained on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and remains in custody.
The deadly collision happened just before 7pm on Wednesday, March 18, near the Cobblestones Drive junction in Illingworth. A fourth car was nearby but didn’t crash. Authorities have closed the road as investigations continue.
Tragic Toll and Ongoing Investigation
- Cassius Bryant and Corey Graham, both 22, plus 21-year-old Thomas Reilly were declared dead at the scene.
- Another 21-year-old man from the Ford Fiesta remains in critical but stable condition in hospital.
- The BMW’s occupants are being held on suspicion of dangerous driving causing death.
- A stationary Renault Clio was found at the scene but was unoccupied.
Police Plea for Witnesses and Footage
Detective Sergeant Paul Lightowler said: “Our thoughts go out to the family and friends of the people who died. Specially trained officers will be supporting the families involved.”
“This is a tragic incident and extensive enquiries are ongoing at the scene this morning. I would like to appeal to anyone who was travelling in the area yesterday evening who may have witnessed the collision to come forward. We are also keen to see any dash-cam footage of the vehicles prior to the collision.”
