Notorious Soham Killer Ian Huntley Left Blind Before Death in Prison Attack

Ian Huntley, the infamous Soham child murderer, has died after a savage attack at HMP Frankland in County Durham. The 52-year-old was brutally struck with a metal bar during a prison workshop on 26 February, leaving him bleeding heavily, blind, and unconscious. He never recovered from the violent assault.

“Huntley never recovered from the battering and never stood much of a chance of doing so,” a source told The Sun.

Soham Killer’s Dark Past

  • Huntley was jailed for life in 2003 for the 2002 murders of 10-year-olds Holly Wells and Jessica Chapman in Soham, Cambridgeshire.
  • The two girls vanished after leaving a family barbecue to buy sweets; their bodies were found dumped in a ditch.
  • He received two life sentences for these horrific crimes that shocked the nation.

Family’s Fury and History of Prison Attacks

Following Huntley’s death, his only daughter, Samantha Bryan, 27, blasted him, saying, “There’s a special place in hell waiting for him.”

Huntley was no stranger to prison violence. In 2010, he survived a brutal attack at HMP Frankland where an inmate slashed his throat with a makeshift knife. The attacker was handed a life sentence.
