Police hunt hit-and-run driver after a young child was knocked down on a sleepy Swindon road.

The terrifying incident happened just before noon on Saturday, 18 October. Around 11:30am, a child was hit by a car on Beaulieu Close, a normally peaceful street in Toothill.
Driver Stops, Then Vanishes Without a Trace
Shockingly, the driver briefly pulled over and spoke to the child’s family but fled the scene without leaving any contact details.
Police Plea: Witnesses Urgently Needed
“At approximately 11.30am on Saturday (18/10), a child was hit by a vehicle in Beaulieu Close, Toothill. The driver did initially stop and speak to the young child’s family, however, did not leave any details. We are keen to speak to the driver or anyone who witnessed the incident.”
