Officer Injured and Three Arrested in M25 Chaos
An officer was hurt and three people have been arrested after disruption and a collision on the M25 this morning. The drama unfolded between Junctions 26 and 30 during a protest involving rolling roadblocks and people climbing gantries.
Rolling Roadblock Sparks Crash
Officers first responded to reports of a person on the motorway between Junction 26 and 27. A rolling roadblock was put in place to manage traffic and ensure safety. However, a collision then occurred involving two lorries and a police motorbike. The motorbike rider was injured and treated by ambulance crews.
Three Arrested on Suspicion of Public Nuisance
- Two suspects were arrested following the collision.
- A third person was later brought down from a gantry near Junction 30 and also taken into custody.
Police are still removing another individual from a gantry near Junction 29. They are working closely with National Highways to keep the motorway open as much as possible and to reopen it quickly once safe.

“Officers have again responded quickly to minimise disruption and two people have already been arrested.
“One of our officers has been injured as they worked to help resolve this situation.
“Our roads policing officers are dedicated, specialist officers who come to work to serve the public and keep you safe on our roads. They do this tirelessly, day-in day-out.
“Sadly, this morning one of these fantastic officers has been injured while carrying out this work. My thoughts are with them and their family.
“I want to thank the public for their support, patience and understanding while we work to resolve this situation.”
Police continue to monitor the situation closely, prioritising public safety as they clear the disruption and reopen the motorway.
