Commuters faced major disruption on the Victoria Line Friday afternoon after a body was discovered on the tracks at Vauxhall station. Emergency services rushed to the scene around 4.30pm, but tragically, the victim was pronounced dead on site. Police Confirm No Suspicious Circumstances
British Transport Police swiftly ruled out foul play. A spokesperson said: “Officers were called to Vauxhall Underground station at around 4.30pm on Friday (26 September) following reports of a casualty on the tracks. Paramedics also attended, however sadly a person was pronounced dead at the scene.”
“The incident is not being treated as suspicious, and a file will be prepared for the coroner.”
