A deadly smash on Lambeth Palace Road near Westminster Bridge claimed a man’s life on the evening of October 2.

The collision struck at around 6.30pm, just as Londoners were rushing home. The man was rushed to hospital with serious injuries but, heartbreakingly, did not survive.
Police Watchdog Launches Urgent Probe
The Independent Office for Police Conduct (IOPC) was quickly alerted by the Met Police and sent investigators straight to the scene. They are now probing the cause of the fatal crash.

“Our thoughts are with the man’s family, friends, and all those affected by his death. It’s important we establish all the circumstances surrounding this incident, and we are in the very early stages,” said IOPC director Emily Barry.
“The collision happened on a busy London road in the early evening when many people were travelling. We urge anyone who saw the crash or the moments before it to come forward and share what they know.”
