A shocking knife rampage in Pulborough has landed Thomas Hoe, 28, behind bars for 15 years.
Stabbing Rampage Rocks Quiet Street
Just after 7:25pm on 16 January, police rushed to Pulborough Road to find chaos. Two victims were left seriously injured after a brutal attack.
A 54-year-old woman, known to Hoe, was stabbed following a heated argument. A 30-year-old man bravely tried to intervene but was left with multiple stab wounds to his torso, arms, legs, and neck. He required emergency surgery to survive.
In a bizarre twist, Hoe also stabbed himself in the leg before dialing 999, claiming three people had been attacked. Officers quickly arrested him at the scene.
Court Drama Ends with Heavy Jail Term
At Crown Court, Hoe was cleared of attempted murder but convicted of two counts of grievous bodily harm with intent. He had also admitted carrying a knife in public.
Judge Michael Kent KC slammed Hoe’s savage attack, sentencing him to 15 years behind bars on 25 September.
Police Warn: Think Twice Before Carrying Knives
“This was a particularly violent attack with lasting impact on the victims,” said Detective Constable Jules Shorrock. “Anyone who arms themselves with a knife faces serious consequences. Hoe’s sentence reflects that.”
Sussex Police stressed that tackling knife crime remains a top priority. They urged the public to ditch the blades and warned of life-changing consequences for those who don’t.
