A man has been tasered and detained by police following an incident on Thornford Road Lewisham, Southeast London during the early hours of morning on the 20th February 2025
Officers from the Violent Reduction Task Force were called to the scene after reports of a disturbance.

According to initial reports, the man refused to comply with officers’ instructions, leading police to deploy their Taser and ASPs (extendable batons) to subdue him.
Footage shared with UKNIP (UK News in Pictures) appears to show officers using force to detain the individual. The man was subsequently arrested, though the nature of the alleged offence has not yet been confirmed.
The Metropolitan Police has been approached for a statement, but no further details have been released at this stage.
A witness, who saw the incident unfold, said:
“There were a lot of officers, and they were shouting at the guy to get on the ground. He didn’t listen, and then they tickled him with the tasered. It all happened really fast.”

It remains unclear whether the suspect sustained any injuries or if he has been charged.
