Two women face criminal damage charges after allegedly spraying powdered paint inside the iconic Westminster Abbey. The Metropolitan Police have named the suspects as Alyson Lee, 66, from Park Grove, Derby, and Diane Bligh, 77, of Langham Place, Frome.
- Lee has been bailed to appear at Westminster Magistrates’ Court on 11 February.
- Bligh is due in court a day later, on 12 February.
Incident Details Shrouded in Mystery
The women were arrested on Monday, 13 January after the powdered paint was sprayed inside the historic abbey. So far, police have not revealed the extent of the damage or the motive behind this shocking act.
