Man Stabbed Near Oxford Street in Deadly Early Morning Attack
A 36-year-old man is fighting for his life after being stabbed on Brook Street, close to Oxford Street, in the early hours of Monday, December 30. The attack took place around 3:30 AM, sparking a rapid police and ambulance response.
Two Women Arrested in Eltham Over Stabbing
Police tracked down a vehicle linked to the stabbing and stopped it in Eltham at 5:40 AM. Two women, aged 34 and 39, were arrested on suspicion of attempted murder. The 39-year-old was also hit with charges for driving under the influence of drugs and possession of cannabis, a Class B drug.

The area around Brook Street remains sealed off as detectives dig deeper into the brutal stabbing. So far, authorities haven’t revealed what sparked the attack but are appealing for witnesses to step forward.

“On Monday, 30 December at around 03:30hrs, officers were called to Brook Street, W1, following reports of a stabbing,” a Metropolitan Police spokesperson said.
“A 36-year-old man was taken to hospital by ambulance where his condition is currently life-threatening. At 5:49 AM, a vehicle was stopped in Eltham linked to this incident. Two women aged 34 and 39 were arrested on suspicion of attempted murder. The 39-year-old woman was also arrested for driving while unfit through drugs and possession of cannabis.”
The crime scene is still in place while the investigation continues.”
