Brighton Man Busted for Drug Dealing in Regency Area
40-Year-Old Arrested Twice Over Class A Drugs
A man has been slapped with multiple charges and locked up after a crackdown on drug dealing in Brighton’s Regency neighbourhood. Muhammed Ahmed, 40, of no fixed address, was first arrested on May 10 on suspicion of dealing Class A drugs. He was bailed during the investigation but hauled back in by police on September 19.
Charged With Heroin, Crack Cocaine, and Weapon Offences
Ahmed now faces serious charges including supply of heroin and crack cocaine, possession of Class A drugs, and carrying an offensive weapon in a private place. He appeared in Brighton Magistrates’ Court on September 26 and was remanded in custody ahead of his next hearing on October 18.
Police Warn Drug Abuse Harms Whole Community
“Drug misuse doesn’t just affect those directly involved,” said Detective Constable Gavin Harper. “It can wreck entire neighbourhoods, fueling crime, anti-social behaviour, and destroying local residents’ wellbeing.”
