Car Flips in Croydon Crash – Child Feared Trapped
A dramatic crash unfolded last night on Lower Addiscombe Road, Croydon. A car overturned after smashing into a parked van, sparking initial fears that a child was trapped inside.
Emergency services rushed to the scene shortly after 9pm on 15 September 2024. Thankfully, the child was swiftly removed from the wreck by the female driver, according to eyewitnesses.
Driver Flees Scene in Accomplice’s Vehicle
Neighbours heard a huge bang and rushed outside to help. But the woman quickly fled, jumping into another car driven by an accomplice.
“The crash happened right outside our house. It was a huge bang. The neighbours ran to help, but she acted fast to leave the area,” said one resident. “A nearby bus caught the whole incident on camera, including the other car’s registration number.”
Police Launch Investigation – No Arrests Yet
Police and emergency teams treated the child, who is believed to have escaped serious injury. The driver’s condition remains unknown.
Authorities have launched an investigation into the smash. CCTV footage from nearby buses is expected to help track down the second vehicle involved.
So far, no arrests have been made. Officers are urging anyone who saw the crash or has information to come forward immediately.
