Brutal Ex Sentenced After Violent Abuse Campaign
Mohammed Qadeer, 33, from Peterborough, unleashed a vicious campaign of abuse after his on-off girlfriend ended their two-year relationship. The nightmare began after a savage attack at an Edinburgh hotel in January.
Shocking Hotel Assault and Broken Nose
During a heated argument on 25 January, Qadeer punched the victim in the face, breaking her nose. She told medics the injury was an accident, hiding the truth behind the violent blow.
Despite the break-up, Qadeer bombarded her with calls and messages over the following weeks. In March, she “gave in” and met him at a Peterborough hotel, where he quickly turned abusive again.
Abuse Escalates With Shocking Face Kicks
The next day, after dropping him off at a shop, she vowed never to speak to him again. But Qadeer refused to back down, relentlessly demanding meetings through abusive calls.
About a month later, Qadeer showed up at her home. Pretending to be “nice,” he gained entry — then tried to stop her from visiting a friend. He punched her, giving her a black eye.
The following day, during another row, she fell and Qadeer cruelly kicked her in the face. Her friend called the police, though she initially refused to press charges.
Threats and Jail Time for Violent Ex
Qadeer’s violent behaviour didn’t stop. Police were alerted again after he made a string of threats, telling the victim he was going to prison — and would “take her down” with him.
Last Friday at Huntingdon Law Courts, Qadeer was jailed for one year and eight months. He pleaded guilty to two counts of actual bodily harm, bringing a brutal chapter to a close.
