71-Year-Old Man Arrested in Baby Remains Investigation
A 71-year-old man was arrested today on suspicion of preventing a lawful burial. The shocking arrest is linked to the discovery of baby remains found at a property in Marsh Green, Wigan back in April.
Six People Now in Custody as Probe Deepens
This latest arrest brings the total suspects in custody to six. The other five remain on police bail while the investigation presses on. Detective Chief Inspector John Davies, leading the inquiry, said:
“Our investigation has been ongoing since April 10, with detectives and specialists working tirelessly to uncover the full circumstances of this tragic incident.”
Postmortem Complete but Mystery Remains
The Home Office has already conducted a postmortem on the remains. However, more specialist testing is still underway. Authorities have confirmed no other human remains have been found linked to the case, keeping the probe open and ongoing.
