Brutal Morning Brawl Rocks Glasgow City Centre

Police Scotland are hunting a gang after a savage assault in central Glasgow. The attack unfolded just before 12:30pm on Friday, April 12, 2024, near the busy junction of Union Street and Gordon Street.

Man, 28, Pummeled by Eight Masked Males

A 28-year-old man was jumped by around eight men wearing dark clothes. The victim suffered serious head and back injuries and was rushed to Glasgow Royal Infirmary for urgent treatment.

Detectives Plead for Witnesses and CCTV Footage

Despite the brutal nature of the attack, cops have few leads on the assailants. Detective Constable Matthew McCann, leading the inquiry, said: “This group was present on 123, as it may contain crucial images that could aid our investigation.” Officers are piecing together what happened and urge anyone who saw the incident or has info to step forward immediately.
