Tragic A90 Crash Near Crimond Claims Man’s Life
Police Scotland are hunting for witnesses after a fatal collision on the A90 near Crimond on Saturday, November 18, 2023. At around 9:55am, a blue Nissan Qashqai smashed into a white lorry, leaving a 43-year-old man dead.
Man Dies, Woman Escapes Unscathed
Emergency crews rushed the Nissan driver to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary, but he later died from his injuries. The car’s 46-year-old female passenger escaped serious harm and was released from hospital shortly after.
Lorry Driver Arrested as Probe Gets Underway
The 41-year-old lorry driver was arrested and is now being questioned as police investigate what caused the deadly crash.
Police Plea for Dash Cam Footage and Witnesses
Officers want anyone who saw the vehicles before the crash to come forward. They are also urging locals to check their dash cams for footage, as even the smallest clue could crack the case.
“We are in the process of establishing the full circumstances of this collision,” said Sergeant Alexander Bowser-Riley. “Any small piece of information could prove significant. I would also appeal to anyone in the area to check their dash cams as it could assist us in our investigation.”
