Knife-Threat Robber Nabbed After Tesco and Co-op Raids in Worthing
Detectives have arrested a 20-year-old man following a string of armed robberies at local shops in Worthing. The suspect is believed to be behind daring raids at a Tesco Express in Goring and two other stores in Salvington Road.
£150 Stolen After Knife-Wielding Stick-Up
The first robbery took place early on Saturday, October 21, at around 7:50am. The suspect threatened Tesco Express staff at knifepoint, demanding cash from the till before fleeing with £150. Thankfully, no one was hurt during the terrifying ordeal.
Series of Raids Across Worthing Shops
Just the next morning, two more armed robberies hit the Co-op store and Salvington Food Centre. Police swiftly linked the incidents and arrested a local 20-year-old man, who remains in custody.
