Drunk mum crashes car with child onboard – police swoop
Woman caught sloshed at the wheel
On Tuesday night, around 8pm, police from the Road Policing Unit and a dog unit found a woman clearly drunk behind the wheel. Earlier, she had crashed her car – with her child still inside.
She fled the scene, but cops caught her
The woman abandoned the wrecked vehicle and took her terrified child with her. Officers carried out a roadside breath test and found her over the legal alcohol limit. She was promptly arrested for drink-driving.
“Thankfully no one was injured,” police confirmed.
