An investigation was launched after police were called to reports of a man found injured outside Belvedere Railway Station at 10.13pm on 18 September 2021.

Despite the efforts of emergency services, Vitali Skrypniak, who was aged 45 and from Lviv Oblast in Ukraine, died at the scene. A post-mortem examination held on 21 September 2021 gave cause of death as a single stab wound to the chest.

Christopher Brownly-Otiede, 27, of Sorrell Close, SE28, was charged on Friday, 1 April, with the murder of Vitali Skrypniak. He will appear in custody at Bromley Magistrates’ Court on Saturday, 2 April.
