Tragic Crash Claims Life of Young Man on West Lane
A black Mazda 2 smashed into a tree just before 7.30am this morning (10 October) on West Lane, south of Daw Lane. The single-vehicle crash ended in tragedy.
The driver, a 20-year-old man from Hayling Island, was pronounced dead at the scene despite desperate efforts by emergency services. His family has been informed and is receiving support from specialist officers.
Police Hunt Witnesses and Dashcam Footage
Police are urgently investigating the crash. They want to hear from anyone who saw the collision or spotted the Mazda beforehand. Dashcam footage could prove vital to their enquiries.
