£10k Jewellery Heist Near Andover – Cops Urge Help!

Detectives are hunting for leads after a £10,000 jewellery robbery at a home near Andover. A 45-year-old woman reported the theft from her house in Appleshaw, which happened between 9pm on Tuesday, December 13 and 9.45pm on Friday, December 16.

Stolen Treasures With Priceless Sentimental Value

The haul included some rare and deeply personal pieces:

  • A rare 1970s Cartier Rivoli round-faced gold watch, decked with diamonds and fitted with a gold bracelet and clasp
  • An oval gold locket featuring a pearl cross containing baby hair from the victim’s son
  • An art deco diamond and sapphire ring set in gold, with three diamonds in a row
  • A gold lattice bracelet secured with a gold lock
  • A gold wedding ring from the early 1900s once belonging to the victim’s grandmother, engraved with a star

Why This Theft Hit Home

“These items have a great deal of sentimental value for the victim,” said PC Graham Snelgar. “The locket is especially precious as it contained baby hair from her son, who suffered a cardiac arrest at just seven months old. She kept the hair after he was discharged from hospital.”

Call for Witnesses

Police want anyone who has seen or been offered these items to come forward immediately.

“Have you been offered any of these items for sale recently? Do you know where they are or who took them? Please contact us,” added PC Snelgar.

If you have information, call PC Graham Snelgar on 101 quoting RMS Number 44160476087.
