Thieves put lives at risk after Fire Station Break in at Odiham

Burglars have stolen vital lifesaving equipment from Odiham fire station overnight. The thieves broke into the Western Lane station overnight and stole tooling and rescue equipment from the fire appliance.
Firefighters at the Odiham retained station discovered the break-in and missing equipment  this morning. Hampshire Fire and Rescue Service said the theft would not affect the service it provides. Speaking about the incident, a spokesman for Hampshire Fire and Rescue  said: “Its a very sad day. The station was broken into overnight and crucial equipment stolen. Any information would be gratefully received. We will still respond if needed.” Andy Bowers, assistant chief fire officer said  “Another break-in on a ‪Hampshire fire station overnight. “Despicable behaviour happening all too often.
The fire station burglary follows a second breaking at Bordon back in JanuaryAnyone with information is asked to contact Hampshire Police on 101 and quote crime reference number 44160065128.
