Flood Alert Tidal Medway, Medway estuary and Isle of Grain

A Flood Alert has been issued by the Environment Agency. Flooding is possible for: Areas at risk of tidal flooding on the Tidal Medway, Medway estuary and Isle of Grain, including Aylesford, Medway Towns, Lower Halstow, Middle Stoke and Lower Stoke. This Flood Alert has been issued due to the high tide forecast for early Monday morning, 28/10/19. Highest tide level is expected to be at 00:00am on Monday morning. Flooding is possible 2 hours either side of this time from 10:00pm to 2:00am Monday morning. Flooding to properties is not expected. The Environment Agency are closely monitoring the situation. Their incident response staff are operating structures and are prepared to respond if required. Please be careful along beaches, promenades, coastal footpaths and roads as large waves and sea spray could be dangerous. The EA is expecting higher than normal tides over the next 4 days and may be issuing further messages during this time. For those who need it, the forecast total water height at Sheerness for the 00:00am Monday morning tide is 3.58am
