After A 15-year-old Boy Was Stabbed To Death In Islington, Detectives Are Still Looking For Information And Witnesses

On Thursday, 4 August, police were called to reports of a stabbing in Highbury Fields, N5, shortly before 9pm

Officers were present, as was the London Ambulance Service.

A 15-year-old boy was discovered with stab wounds at the scene. He was treated by medics before being transported to the hospital, where he tragically died a short time later.

His next of kin have been notified, and they are being assisted by specialist officers. We are unable to confirm his identity at this time.

In the coming days, a post-mortem examination will be performed.

Detective Chief Inspector Joanna Yorke has launched a murder investigation.

“My team is working hard to piece together the timeline of events that led to this tragic loss of a young life,” she said, adding that “we still need information from people who witnessed what happened.”

“Did you attend? Did you record anything? Do you know who was responsible for the victim’s attack?

Please do the right thing and share what you know, even if your information appears insignificant.” If you do not want to speak with police, contact the charity Crimestoppers; they will not even ask for your name.

A young life has been brutally ended, and a family is struggling to come to terms with their loss – please help if you can.
