An unsettling incident unfolded in Manchester’s Piccadilly Gardens on the night of November 15, as two individuals fell victim to a mysterious attack involving a “stinging substance.” Emergency services swiftly responded to the scene, where the victims, though in need of hospital treatment, are anticipated to make a full recovery.

Despite initial concerns, Greater Manchester Police (GMP) confirmed that tests ruled out the presence of acid in the liquid. However, further examinations are slated to shed light on the nature of the substance. No arrests have been made thus far, and an active investigation is underway.

The incident transpired around 10.30pm drawing attention to the Wetherspoons on Piccadilly, where emergency services vehicles were stationed during the unfolding events.
