West Midlands Police Appeal After Teenager Tragically Dies Following A Collision

Officers appealing for information after a teenage girl has tragically died after being struck by a bus in Birmingham.

The collision happened in Sheaf Lane, Sheldon, at just before 3pm yesterday (18 March).

A 15-year-old girl was seriously injured and confirmed dead shortly after arriving at the hospital. Our thoughts are with her family and friends during this devastating time.

The driver of the bus is helping with our enquiries as we establish the full circumstances around the collision.

PC Gail Arnold, from our serious collision investigation unit, said: “A young girl has tragically died and we’ll be doing all we can to support her family during this deeply distressing time.

“We’re working to establish the circumstances behind the collision and we’re keen to hear from anyone who was in the area at the time, and especially anyone with dash cam footage.”
