A 32-year-old man has been charged with murder following the shooting death of 18-year-old Tyrece Balcha in Wembley, england/north-west-Londonlondon/”>North Westnorth west London.
Adem Altindal, from Wood Green, Haringey, was charged on Thursday, 25 September, after his arrest the day before. He is due to appear at Haringey Magistrates’ Court on Friday, 26 September.
Tyrece, from Hillingdon, was found with a gunshot wound outside a bar on Atlantic Crescent early Sunday, 21 September. Despite emergency treatment, he died on Thursday.
“We are devastated that our amazing son, brother, and grandchild who is kind, loving, funny, and hardworking has been senselessly taken from us,” the family said. “Through his selfless gift as a donor, his spirit will live on. He will be deeply missed.”
Police Make Multiple Arrests as Probe Continues
Another man, aged 39, remains in custody on suspicion of murder and firearm offences. Meanwhile, two others charged with attempted murder are remanded ahead of an Old Bailey hearing in October.
Seven more arrests have been made relating to assisting offenders and firearm possession. Some suspects have been released on bail or remain under investigation.
Police Ramp Up Patrols, Appeal for Witnesses
Detective Chief Superintendent Luke Williams addressed public fears, saying: “We recognise the concern this incident has caused, especially as it happened during a busy event.” Police have boosted patrols in Wembley to reassure the community.
Detective Chief Inspector Phil Clarke urged privacy for Tyrece’s family amid the ongoing investigation.
