Police are appealing for witnesses and dashcam footage following a serious collision on an overbridge near Wrotham which left a man critically injured.
Kent Police said officers were called at 11.17am on Monday, 18 August to reports of a crash involving a tractor on the A227 Gravesend Road.
Emergency services, including Kent Fire and Rescue Service and South East Coast Ambulance Service, attended the scene. The driver of the tractor was airlifted to hospital, where he remains in a critical but stable condition. His next of kin have been informed.
Initial enquiries suggest it was a single-vehicle collision in which a tractor became separated from its trailer before crashing and falling onto the central reservation between junctions 2 and 3 of the M20.
Both the M20 and the A227 remain closed while recovery work takes place. Diversions have been put in place, and motorists are being urged to seek alternative routes.
A Kent Police spokesperson said:
“We are appealing for witnesses and drivers with dashcam footage who may have been in the area at the time to come forward. Your information could be vital to our investigation.”
