Emergency services rushed to the scene of a serious road traffic collision on Honeypot Lane in Stanmore on Friday morning (April 25), where a  woman was trapped inside an overturned vehicle.

The crash occurred near the junction with Fairways, and involved a single car that came to rest on its side. Police, fire crews, and paramedics responded swiftly to the incident following reports that a person was trapped inside the vehicle.

Firefighters worked to safely extricate the woman, who is understood to have a disability. She was treated at the scene by London Ambulance Service (LAS) crews before being taken to hospital. Her condition has not yet been confirmed.

The Metropolitan Police were also in attendance to assist with traffic control and begin an investigation into the circumstances of the crash. The cause of the incident remains under investigation.

Motorists faced temporary delays as a section of Honeypot Lane was partially blocked during the rescue operation and vehicle recovery.
