A 38-year-old woman has been arrested on suspicion of drink-driving following a collision between a car and a van on Margate Road, near Coleman Crescent, on Friday evening.
The incident occurred at approximately 6:45pm on March 14, prompting a response from emergency services. Fortunately, no serious injuries were reported.
Police attended the scene and arrested the woman at the location. She has since been taken into custody for further questioning.
A police source confirmed:
“We were called to reports of a collision involving a car and a van on Margate Road shortly before 7pm. A 38-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of drink-driving. No serious injuries were reported.”
Enquiries into the incident are ongoing.
