Kent Police is appealing for witnesses after a disturbance in Ramsgate that led to two arrests and an investigation into an assault.
Officers were called to Broad Street, near the junction with Hardes Street, shortly before 1am on Saturday, 1 February 2025, after reports of a dispute between two groups of people. It is believed that during the altercation, a man in his 30s was assaulted by a group of males, who then dispersed from the scene.
South East Coast Ambulance Service attended the location and treated the victim for injuries, which are not considered life-threatening.
Following the incident, officers arrested two 16-year-old boys from the local area in connection with the disturbance. Both individuals remain in custody while further inquiries are carried out.
Kent Police is urging anyone who may have witnessed the incident, or who has relevant information or footage—such as dashcam or mobile phone recordings—to come forward. The investigation is ongoing.
