Kent Police are appealing for witnesses following a serious collision in Chislet, near Canterbury, which left a young woman in hospital with serious injuries.
The incident occurred at 10:55pm on Tuesday, 20 May 2025, on Sandpit Hill, as a white VW Golf was travelling north from Upstreet towards Chislet. The vehicle reportedly left the road on the offside, entered a ditch, and collided with a tree.
Emergency Response and Investigation
Emergency services, including ambulance crews and officers from Kent Police’s Serious Collision Investigation Unit (SCIU), attended the scene. The driver, a woman in her 20s, was treated on-site before being transported to a London hospital, where she remains in a serious condition.
SCIU officers are now investigating the circumstances of the crash and urging any witnesses or individuals with relevant dashcam or CCTV footage to come forward.

We are appealing for anyone who witnessed the incident, or who may have seen the white VW Golf prior to the collision, to contact us immediately. Even small details can be vital in helping us understand how the collision occurred.
