Kyle Moore, a 21-year-old man from Eastham, Wirral, has been sentenced to three years in prison for sexual offences. The sentencing took place at Liverpool Crown Court on Friday.
Moore was found guilty in June on two counts of sexual activity with a child aged 13-15. The offences occurred in 2023. In addition to the prison sentence, Moore has been issued a seven-year Restraining Order, preventing him from contacting the victim.
Detective Sergeant Rebecca Igglesden, speaking after the sentencing, underscored the seriousness of Moore’s actions: “Moore is a sex offender who preyed on his young and vulnerable victim. We welcome that he has been dealt with by the courts.”
The victim, who displayed great strength and bravery throughout the legal process, can hopefully find some comfort in this outcome as she moves forward. Specially trained detectives and Victim Care partners have supported her and her family, whether they reported the offences directly or through affiliated organisations.
Detective Sergeant Igglesden encouraged anyone who has been a victim of sexual offences or is concerned for someone’s safety to come forward. The police have a dedicated team to compassionately handle reports and work tirelessly to bring offenders to justice. Partner organisations, such as the Victim Care Support Service and RASA, are available to support victims every step of the way.
