A devastating warehouse fire has destroyed a party and wedding supply business in Widdington, prompting an urgent investigation by Essex Fire and Rescue Service.
Fire crews were called to the scene on Mole Hall Lane at 8:25pm on Wednesday, 19 June, after reports of a large blaze.

Upon arrival, firefighters were faced with a fully involved fire at a single-storey warehouse, measuring 25 by 25 metres.

Group Manager Scott Meekings praised the efforts of firefighters:
“Crews worked hard to protect the surrounding fields and establish a water supply from a nearby stream.
Unfortunately, the building and its contents — including party and wedding supplies — were destroyed. Our thoughts go out to the business owners.”
